Transfer from Lisbon to Estremoz
Welcome to Portugal! Our guide will pick you up at the airport and drive you to Estremoz.
This is an old town where you will feel like a Queen or King spending the night at the castle. You’ll be staying at a historical building converted into a hotel from where you can admire a superb view over Estremoz and the vast Alentejo plain.
Bike Estremoz Loop
On the first day, you will start cycling by pastoral fields, where the only sounds are the jingling bells from the flocks of bleating sheep.
As you follow the rural landscape, you will pass by some villages with the typical Alentejo whitewashed homes outlined in a blue and ochre trim. The wine culture will enter your path from the very first day, as you will visit a winery and where you can taste different red and white wines. But careful, not too much! You still have some kilometers to do until you get to the hotel.
Bike from Estremoz to Vila Viçosa
After a delicious breakfast, you will cycle through villages and historical landscapes.
Stages of battle, villages of conquerors, old communities that have rippled their influence through time and are now great hospitable people. Towards Vila Viçosa, the capital of marble in Portugal, you can visit the Ducal Palace, built in the 16th and 17th century on the remains of Roman and Moorish buildings. You will have plenty of free time today, so we suggest that you walk around and enjoy the charm of the streets close to the town center.

A gorgeous day is awaiting you!
Today, you will ride towards Spain through a landscape of cork trees, olive groves, and flocks of sheep. Admire the beautiful Guadiana River that separates Portugal from Spain, and make a stop to visit Juromenha, a picturesque village overlooking Spain. On this day, you must face some uphills while returning to Vila Viçosa, but your efforts will be rewarded with a delicious meal at night.
Bike from Vila Viçosa to Monsaraz
The time has come to leave Vila Viçosa and ride towards the south, passing the village of Alandroal.
On the way, you will feel the delightful scent of the oleander flowers that grow on the shrubs and trees. The wood from these trees was used by local artisans. Arriving in Monsaraz, notice the presence of cultural history and medieval architecture. This village was occupied since the prehistoric era, and megalithic monuments are physical evidence of that. We suggest you visit Menhir of Outeiro right before checking into the new hotel.
Bike from Monsaraz to Redondo
After a peaceful night's rest, get up on your bike and prepare for a ride bathed in a golden landscape until Redondo.
When you arrive at the hotel-museum in Redondo, you will find an impressive collection of tiles, remarkable ceramic work that is centuries old and essentially a reflection of Alentejo's cultural "style". This building used to be a convent, and for some, it might be fascinating to know that Kings had been sleeping here since the 1500s. To finish the day, challenge your taste and pallet by learning a bit more about Portuguese wine at the Wine museum in the center. Don't miss it!

A beautiful day riding hills of gold and green, through cork trees, pristine vineyards, and a pastoral countryside that is dotted by abandoned castles.
After all these days of rolling hills, traversing through past and present and old-world heritage, the time has come to finally arrive at the most beautiful historical city of the country. Here, all your experiences will be gathered into one. Can you imagine such a place? Make your way there and keep exploring!

Évora is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has 2000 years of history.
After a late breakfast, it's time to finally explore the surroundings and get to know this unique place. Soon, you will arrive in Arraiolos, noted for its colorful, hand-stitched woolen tapestries. There must be space back home to fit one in your living room! This will be the last day of riding, and you will have the unique opportunity of celebrating with some Portuguese wine right at its birthplace! Saúde!
