Come ride with our local guide and experience some of the best roads in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Start going up the hills of the Park and visit the iconic monuments, Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle, and continue your way into the woods. Enjoy beautiful and scenic routes as you ride across the park and ride to the westernmost point of Continental Europe - Cape Roca. Here the sea is waiting for you but you are not finished. The picturesque village of Azenhas do Mar and the surrounding area of Sintra are a joy to see. The end of the route will be at the Sintra Village Center.

Pena Palace

The Pena Palace stands on the second highest peak of the Sintra Mountains and was built by Ferdinand II, king from 1837 to 1853, as a summer residence for the Portuguese royal family. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has Neo-Gothic, Neo-Manueline, Neo-Islamic and Neo-Renaissance influences, making it the epitome of 19th-century Romanticism. Surrounding the palace is an extensive lush garden with more than 500 plant species from all over the world and an incredible labyrinthic system of paths.
