Come ride with our local guide and experience some of the best mountain biking trails in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Open fire roads, narrow single tracks and even some quite technical man-made trails will take you on an exploration of the Sintra Mountains. Enjoy beautiful and scenic routes, climb up to Capuchos Convent and Peninha’s chapel, one of the highest points in Sintra and then blast downhill towards Guincho Beach, where you can go for a swim in the ocean. You will not forget this day!
Start the day climbing up to the mountains and going deep into the woods. The first stop that you might choose to take is Convento dos Capuchos, a Franciscan Convent built in direct contact with nature and in keeping with a philosophy of extreme architectural and decorative simplicity. This is was a place of worship and living and now is just a small and magical building that reminds us of how to be one with nature. It is also known as the “Cork convent” because of the extensive use of cork in the protection and decoration of its tiny spaces.
