Transfer from Porto Airport to Porto Center

Our guide will transfer you from the airport to the hotel in Porto, this amazing city filled with something mystical and difficult to describe. It is for your own eyes to see! Take the rest of the day off to experience the city, taste the food, reach the sightseeing spots, and interact with the lovely people. This is where your journey begins!
Bike from Porto to Furadouro
Your adventure begins!
Starting from the old Porto, crossing the Dom Luís Bridge, which has a spectacular view over the Douro River. Cycle on calm and serene roads close to the sea. On the way, you will cross several small beaches like Valadares, Francelos, and Miramar by cycling on a path near the coastline. Although the water might be too cold for some, these beaches are a great spot to swim and enjoy the sun (if the weather conditions allow it!). Miramar Beach is worth a stop to visit a small and intriguing little chapel sitting on the top of a boulder by the shore - the famous Capela do Senhor da Pedra.
Bike from Furadouro to Aveiro
Another fresh day by the sea!
You will have magnificent pine tree forests to cross and easy, flat roads to enjoy leading you to Ria de Aveiro. The Ria de Aveiro is a shallow coastal lagoon connected to the Atlantic Ocean. Its unique mesotidal wetland area has several branches forming islands and is an absolute pleasure to ride along to. You will then arrive at the dune system of São Jacinto, an incredible natural reserve home to many valuable species and the perfect place to watch some wildlife! At last, this is where you will catch the ferry that will take you to our own little Portuguese Venice, Aveiro.
Bike from Aveiro to Praia de Mira
Discover the preserved traditions of Portugal!
As you leave Aveiro, you will head down a path that crosses a land of ponds, where salt is extracted by an old traditional method passed down through generations. As you head on, you will arrive at a dock in which you can view the harbor and some old codfish boats. After, you will cross the main bridge and arrive in Barra Village. From here, you will follow south through a bicycle path that avoids the open road and traffic. The scenery during this route will be from the Ria itself. However, as you arrive at the end, the landscape will change into small fields and vegetable gardens until Mira Beach.

Prepare yourself to discover Portugal’s medieval capital - Coimbra!
This day starts on gravel roads, taking you through villages and towns until you reach the Mondego River, which will guide you to the heart of Coimbra. This charming city was the first capital of Portugal, and the first University was placed there in 1537, where many Portuguese writers, doctors, philosophers, and scientists studied throughout the times. University of Coimbra - Alta and Sofia was built in the Royal Palace of Alcáçova, a historical place full of charm, beauty, and heritage, as the 12th-century Cathedral of Santa Cruz, several 16th-century colleges, the Joanine Library with a baroque decor, or the 18th-century Botanical Garden. There is a lot to see and explore around Coimbra!

Admire an amazing castle!
After a delicious breakfast, cycle through agricultural lands and villages to later arrive in Montemor-o-Velho town. Overlook the river from its little hill known as Monte Maior, fortified for at least 2000 years. As you reach Montemor-o-Velho, an imposing castle will appear. It is one of the oldest castles in Portugal and was the main fortress of Low Mondego during Medieval times. While exploring the castle and other important monuments, don't forget to sample the local "espigas doces" (typical cakes of Montemor). Enjoy the view from the top, take a deep breath, and ride towards Figueira da Foz to enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the seaside.

After a traditional breakfast in the coastal city of Figueira da Foz, it’s time to continue your adventure through Portugal. Today, you will cycle along the Mondego River, the longest river exclusively in Portuguese territory. You will ride through some small picturesque villages and encounter magnificent places, such as the beautiful Ervideira Lagoon, a must-go destination where many locals spend family time. As you go south, Monte Real awaits you, where you will be welcome in a Palace! Enjoy the indoor spaces, enjoy the outdoor pool, walk in the gardens, book a massage, or experience a gourmet dinner. The opportunities are endless at this gorgeous hotel.

Encounter the grateful Atlantic sea once again!
It’s time to leave Monte Real to reach the coast again and discover magnificent pine forests and beautiful beaches. With Nazaré as your destination, discover one of the most beautiful beaches and perhaps the most famous fishing town in Portugal. Nazaré has an atmosphere of times gone by, contentment, and traditions that continue to thrive and make it a special place to visit. The wooden fishing boats still used today are colorful and narrow with curved prows and decorations evocative of the first fishermen of the area. Another unique tradition is that Fishwives here still wear seven colorful layers of skirts, as well as wooden clogs and a predominantly black headscarf.

Today, you will discover a UNESCO Heritage Medieval walled town!
It's time to leave Nazaré and ride along the coast, discovering beautiful beaches. You will pass by Foz do Arelho, a small coastal villa located on Portugal's incredibly scenic Silver Coast but also a special place because its ocean feeds into the Óbidos Lagoon (Lagoa de Óbidos) - the largest saltwater lagoon in Portugal. Wind inland through a mixture of small farms, villages, and pear orchards, and ride to the medieval town of Óbidos, where you will discover one of the most picturesque and well-preserved castles in Portugal. Óbidos is a charming small and fortified town that can be suggestive of a medieval film set. Óbidos is also famous for its "ginja", a Portuguese sour cherry liquor. You can taste it in an edible chocolate cup or on its own, a delicious tradition you cannot miss.

Discover a peninsula out into the Atlantic.
This day will begin close to the Óbidos Lagoon, considered the most extensive coastal lagoon system on the Portuguese coast. As you continue heading south, you will cycle inland through an area where dinosaurs once roamed. Almost at the end of the day, you will discover an incredible place on a very small peninsula that looks like an island. Peniche is a city of fishing traditions. So, as you might expect, here you can find many seafood restaurants serving tasty sea bass, seafood rice, and charcoal-grilled sardines, among others. Besides the sea and the local cuisine, Peniche is also known for the art of bobbin lacework and its incredible bays and beaches, popular among surfers.

A scenic ride by the sea!
The day starts with small rolling hills through tiny Portuguese villages, always with the ocean in sight. Witness incredible valleys of limestone and vibrant green Mediterranean vegetation, making for a truly unforgettable experience. As you reach Ericeira, the coastal scenario becomes even more breathtaking, passing through some of the most amazing beaches and cliffs in the region. Ericeira, known as the Portuguese Mecca of Surf, is one of Portugal's most beautiful and popular fishing villages, draped above the blue ocean. End your day with an excellent seafood dinner, enjoying the picturesque town's old center and great vistas. It's a perfect way to relax and immerse yourself in Portugal's natural beauty.

On this day, you will arrive and discover Sintra Natural Park and hills, ending your day cycling on a constant up and down. But before, delight yourself with some of the beautiful places that Sintra has to offer, like the Monserrate Palace, where you can stop and visit the gardens and its exotic palace built in 1858. By the end of the day, you will arrive at the beautiful village of Sintra, a UNESCO site. Use the free time to go up the mountain and find the incredible Moorish Castle dating back to the 8th century. It's also worthwhile to visit the outstanding Pena Palace, where you can find a wild fantasy of domes, towers, ramparts, and walkways on one of the highest mountain peaks of Sintra.
Bike from Sintra to Cascais
Explore Cape Roca, the westernmost point in Continental Europe.
On this last day of cycling, you will cross the mystic hills of Sintra, passing by the incredible Franciscan Capuchos Convent. Built in the rock and lined up with cork, the convent witnesses the humble and austere living of the Franciscan friars who lived there. Continue riding towards the Atlantic Ocean and arrive at the westernmost point in Continental Europe - Cape Roca. Discover impressive beaches nestling between cliffs, artistically sculpted by the power of nature, and finish with an easy scenic ride along the coast to get to the lovely seaside Cascais.
