Arrival in Lisbon
Welcome to Portugal! Our guide will pick you up at the airport and drive you to Estremoz.
This is an old town where you might feel like a Queen or King spending the night at the castle. You will stay in an historical building converted into a hotel from where you can admire a superb view over Estremoz and the vast Alentejo plains.
Bike from Estremoz to Évora
How amazing it is to be in the heart of a wine country!
Your day will be full of historical towns and opportunities to learn about this area’s wine. The history of this land is encapsulated in the castles and churches of Estremoz, Redondo and Évora, so take time to explore them. On the way between these place make sure to visit one of the many wineries and taste the best wines of Portugal. Once you arrive in Évora, there is so much to see! From the famous Diana Roman Temple dating back to the first century to the Chapel of Bones or the beautiful Cathedral of Évora, there are plentiful places to see and things to try.
Bike from Évora to Torrão
Ride the countryside with calm and joy.
The pace of Alentejo is slow and the people are calm and joyful. With a land full of rolling hills, golden fields and pasture it is hard not to enjoy the peace. We invite you to relax and enjoy the land. Pass by Alcáçovas and visit the Chapel of Sea Shells and continue to ride in direction of Torrão, land of olive trees and amazing local olive oil. Finish you day resting in your hotel and looking across the Vale de Gaio Reservoir while you taste a local wine.
Bike from Torrão to Santiago do Cacém
Another lovely day immersed in history and nature.
This is your last day in the interior of the country, so enjoy these landscapes before changing the scenery. Cork tree forests and animals enjoying the pastures will accompany you as you come closer and closer to your destination Santiago do Cacém. On the way you will pass by Grândola, the home of our famous protest songs that started a revolution in 1974. At the end of the day don’t forget to visit the Castle of Santiago or maybe explore a little further and find the Roman Ruins of Miróbriga.

Today ride through SW Alentejano Natural Park with amazing views over the sea and visit the stunning Cape Sardão.
You will enter the Natural Park of Sudoeste Alentejano and Costa Vicentina on a scenic road over the sea. Pass by Porto Covo, a typical fishing village, now transformed into a picturesque place by the sea with beautiful cliffs. Pass by Vila Nova de Milfontes, visit its fishing harbor, and admire the Mira River and its beautiful bay area. Continue on to see Cape Sardão, and if you are lucky to find the unique storks that nest on the cliffs around it.

What a day to enjoy the coastline!
We are close to the end, but there is still a lot to see. Continue south and enjoy the different sceneries that will keep surprising you. Today you will find the lovely Zambujeira do Mar, loved by the young people that come here every summer from all over the country, and Odeceixe, where the River Seixe meets the sea in the most enchanting way—a treat to the eyes. Continue to Aljezur, home of the most famous sweet potato in the country and don’t leave before visiting the castle located on the highest point of the town. Finally arrive in Arrifana and enjoy the beach! Put your feet in the cold water of the ocean and relax.
Bike from Arrifana to Sagres
Last day to enjoy the Sun.
Following the borders of the natural park you will ride to Sagres. Your GPS will mark little detours for you to see the hidden beaches and landscapes that the land and the ocean provide. As you arrive in Sagres, feel proud of the distance you have cycled and the various places you have seen. This is the place where the Portuguese navigators left to explore new words. Look at the lighthouse and capture the beautiful view with your mind. Finish your journey in town, find a place with delicious food and great wine.
