Transfer from Lisbon to Tomar
Welcome to Portugal!
Once you arrive in this stunning country full of stories to tell, a transfer will take you to Tomar. Once one of the most influential cities in the Iberian Península, Tmar was the old headquarters of the Order of the Templars. Here, you can find several monuments where the history of Portugal is highlighted. Visit the Convent of Christ and the Castle of Tomar, both classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. In the center of Tomar, you can find the Church of São João Batista, which has many years of history as it was built in the 15th century. The city offers unique scenery with river Nabão and its historical center, making it the perfect starting point for this cycling adventure. Enjoy!
Bike from Tomar to Alvados
Let the adventure begin!
Today, we say goodbye to the “City of the Templars”. This first stage will take us to Alvados, a little village in the heart of the Natural Park of Serra de Aire e Candeeiros. On the way, you will find a unique passage next to one of the biggest and most imposing Portuguese aqueducts, the Pegões Aqueduct, which dates from the 16th century. It will be a day marked by beautiful landscapes of cedars and olive groves on a rocky and mountainous path as we discover the magnificent trails of the Natural Park. To end the day, you will relax and recharge your energy in your hotel.

Explore the hidden secrets of the region!
After a typical breakfast, it’s time to discover the Serra de Aire e Candeeiros! This circular stage will let you know some of the most beautiful villages in the region. Drawn between rocky and limestone landscapes, they remind us of a painting. However, the true wealth of this mountain lies in its interior, in the several caves sculpted by time and water. These caves are one of the region's main attractions, and you will have the opportunity to visit the Santo António and Alvados Caves, where part of its beauty is revealed. You will also pass through Porto de Mós, where you can visit its castle, a structure with unique characteristics built under the rubble of a Roman lookout post.

Explore the Templar Route!
Today's route will take you along the Natural Park of Serras de Aire e Candeeiros. Having as a destination the historical town of Alcobaça, it will be a day spent among the magnificent mountain views in what was once a Templar Route. Cycle through old railroads, conquer castles and discover where part of the Portuguese identity was formed. Visit some of the most important Portuguese monuments, nowadays classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. Take the opportunity to enjoy the rest and delight yourself with the typical gastronomic dishes of this incredible region.

The day you will meet the sea.
Today, after enjoying the last moments in Alcobaça, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will continue cycling among the green contours of the landscape that will lead you toward the ocean views. Today's route will take you to the fishing town of Nazaré, worldwide known for its gastronomy and long beach, where surfer Garrett McNamara entered the Guinness World Record for the largest wave surfed by a man. It will be a route marked by the breeze and flavors of the ocean and by contact with those who live in this region. Stop, enjoy the local delicacies, and discover why is Nazaré so special!

The laToday you will discover a UNESCO Heritage Medieval walled town!st day, always following the River Lima.
After a traditional breakfast, it’s time to leave Nazaré and ride along the coast, feeling the fresh breeze from the sea. Along the way, you can discover the Portuguese Coast by observing beautiful beaches. You will pass through incredible fishing villages and bays, such as São Martinho do Porto. After passing Foz do Arelho, you will ride inland towards the Mediaeval town of Óbidos, where you will discover one of the most picturesque and well-preserved castles in Portugal. Feel the middle-aged theme in the air as you let this magical place put a spell on you. Once in Obidos, remember to drink the bright red Ginja in the little dark chocolate cup, a delicious tradition that you cannot miss.
