Just returned from a 7 day self guided hiking tour along the Rota Vicentina with Portugal Nature Trails. Very professional, supportive tour company that provided transfers from and to Lisbon, accurate GPS co-ordinates of the route, restaurant suggestions and great accommodations (including very nice small rural hotels often with pools). We had no worries and could just relax, enjoy the walking and the beautiful ocean view along the cliffs side walking route.

We just arrived back home after spending a wonderful 6 days hiking the Alentejo Wild Coast in Portugal. We did this trip as a self guided trip – set up for us by Portugal Nature Trails. Everything was done extremely well – from the initial set up to the final return transfer to Lisbon. Filipe, our driver from Lisbon to Porto Covo, was very informative – pointing out things along the drive that we should look for on our hike. Of particular interest were the storks & their nests, which we saw several times on the hike. The accommodations were all excellent – we appreciate the different types of Inns and BB’s that were used by PNT. Using the GPS was very easy – a great way to set-up a self guided tour. Our tour ended with a return transfer from Filipe, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic tour. He was very interested in our hike experience – and again full of information about his great country of Portugal. We are excited to return in the future and would definitely use PNT.

We hiked the ‘Rota Vicentina’ & biked Sintra with the expertise of Portugal Nature Trails and our amazing guide Felipe Gomez. From multiple airport pickups (we had 3 different arrivals in our group), great hotel accommodations and breathtaking hikes, he always went the extra mile! GPS & GoPro in hand, we navigated through cliffs & beaches for an unforgettable family experience. Hiking shoes are a must and dress in layers because the hikes last 4-5 hours. A beautiful picnic was a daily highlight that our wonderful guide carried in his backpack and laid out for us in beautiful settings. We were all so impressed with the tour that PNT helped us arrange and the guidance and good humor that Felipe provided throughout our travels was invaluable. I recommend the company and hope to plan another trip with them in the near future.
