Transfer from Faro Airport to Monte Gordo
Welcome to the Algarve!
After your arrival, we will drive you to Monte Gordo. As soon as you arrive at your accommodation, use your free time to explore and experience the surroundings. Alternatively, enjoy a drink near the pool, taste a Mediterranean dish and indulge yourself in moments of complete relaxation and pure evasion.
Bike Monte Gordo Loop
Your adventure begins.
This will be the first riding day! Prepare yourself to explore a region marked by years of history. Leave the hotel and ride along the dense pine forest until Vila Real de Santo António. Then, you will cycle just across the natural border with Spain until Castro Marim. From its medieval castle, set in the rolling green landscape overlooking the river Guadiana and not far away from the Atlantic Ocean, you will enjoy panoramic views over the river, the marshland reserve, the hills, the salt flats, and over the surrounding gorgeous beaches. Enjoy the ride back to Praia Verde, crossing some of the warm waters of the Portuguese coast.
Bike from Monte Gordo to Tavira
Discover one of the prettiest towns in the Algarve region.
After a delicious breakfast, another brilliant day awaits you. First, you will head to Cacela Velha, a picturesque coastal town with a fortress, from where you have one of the best views of the Ria Formosa (Natural Park). From here, you can also admire the beautiful Cacela Velha beach, already considered one of the best beaches in the world. A delight for your eyes. Then, from this point, you will ride along the ria until Tavira. On the way, you will pass by several villages like Cabanas. Once a bustled fishing village, it's nowadays the perfect place to taste the typical cuisine and especially locally caught seafood and fish.
Bike Tavira Loop
Explore the hidden secrets of the Algarve.
Today you will cycle along calm and serene roads close to the Algarve mountains. You will pass by small villages and ride along the old roads and rural paths, where you will find a vast area of orange trees. A perfect moment to use your senses and connect with nature around you. Ride back to Tavira, where you will be staying for another night. Alternatively, you can enjoy a free leisure day or experience an unforgettable boat tour along the Ria Formosa, where you can discover all its charms (not included).
Bike from Tavira to Estoi
A little gem on the Algarve coast!
After a great and filling breakfast, you will start today’s journey in Tavira and ride along the incredible Ria Formosa, one of the most beautiful natural parks in the country. An absolute paradise for birdwatchers and part of the Natura 2000 Network. During this day, the views will be the highlight of the trip and provide some epic sights. You will also pass by Fuzeta, a fishing village full of character, famous for its traditional clay pottery and lively harbor. Admire the spectacle of colorful fishing boats and watch the many local fishermen land their catches or fix their nets in front of their huts. A day close to the simple and traditional Portuguese life.
Bike Estoi Loop to Olhão
Meet a true desert Island in the Algarve.
Today it’s a free day, but we suggest you discover Ilha Deserta, also known as Barreta Island. Considered one of the most secret beaches in the Algarve, it is a paradise all year round. From birds to plants and flowers, chameleons, and crustaceans, it is an incredible site that will surprise you! Hike along the Santa Maria boardwalk through this paradisiac island and discover unique biodiversity. The path finishes on Cape St. Mary, the southernmost point of mainland Portugal. Once you reach it, admire and listen to the wave lines on a white sandy beach with shells. A true moment of peace and tranquility (boat and meals not included).
